CoolSculpting® in Calgary, AB

Non-Surgical Body Sculpting

CoolSculpting is a revolutionary procedure and an innovative way to contour your body by freezing unwanted fat away with no surgery or little to no downtime. No matter how hard we work at the gym, or how true we stay to your nutritional diet, sometimes there are some areas where body fat just won’t budge. It’s time to let CoolSculpting help you lose the body fat that exercising has failed to reduce.

Dr. Dawes and his team of Master-Certified CoolSculpting Technicians offer the easiest way to slim down problematic areas, enhance your body shape, or just look and feel more comfortable in your own clothing again. Dr. Dawes demands a higher standard than the minimum required for his treatment providers. He requires all his CoolSculpting technicians to be Registered Nurses with a minimum of 4 years of post secondary education in nursing and licensed by the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta. In addition, they have participated in the highest level of training offered by CoolSculpting, the Masters CoolSculpting program where they received in-depth training on clinical protocols and learned new ways to enhance the CoolSculpting consultation and treatment process.

How Does Fat Freezing Work?

Fat freezing is highly effective on the lumps, bumps and bulges that are resistant to diet and exercise. This amazing technology uses controlled cooling to freeze your fat cells. In the weeks and months following your procedure, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good, leaving a more sculpted you! This fat reduction treatment is the only FDA-cleared and Health Canada approved procedure to use controlled cooling to safely target and eliminate diet-and exercise-resistant fat.

What Happens During a CoolSculpting Consultation?

Our Master Certified CoolSculpting Technicians will discuss your goals and determine where to target fat for the best body contouring results. One of the benefits of this procedure is that it can be done almost anywhere we tend to carry stubborn fat pads on the body. Each applicator is designed to fit expertly over different areas on the body, allowing us to target everything from small bulges to large pockets of fat. With precise, state-of-the-art technology, our team can freeze away your fat, no matter where it is!

While there are several applicators designed to fit different areas and accommodate various shapes and sizes, not all patients are candidates for CoolSculpting. Some, for instance, may do better with liposuction, surgery or even a combination of two or even all three modalities. Liposuction, while effective, requires downtime for your body to heal and may not be the best option for everyone – especially for those patients with only a mild to moderate amount of fat.

Our Master Certified Technicians will help you create an individualized treatment plan tailored to your specific goals. The length, cost and number of sessions will vary depending on the number of areas being treated. Generally, if more areas are being treated, the treatment takes longer to complete and multiple sessions may be necessary for comprehensive treatment plans. Patients may undergo the procedure in as little as 30 to 35 minutes and return to their daily activities. Most say it’s not uncomfortable at all and often work, read or even take a nap during treatment.

CoolSculpting FAQs

CoolSculpting isn’t a weight-loss treatment. An ideal CoolSculpting patient is already at the weight they want to maintain, or within a few pounds of their target. Your skin should have good elasticity as well, because CoolSculpting doesn’t tighten skin.

Removes unwanted fat, treated fat cells are gone for good, you will have slimmer, smoother body contours and it’s a safe and effective procedure with little to no social downtime.

To determine the exact cost of a CoolSculpting treatment, there are three main factors; the size of the area being treated, the number of treatments needed and the applicators required. We recommend to call or email us to book an appointment for a complimentary consultation, you will be provided with a comprehensive quote for the cost of your treatment at this time.

The cells are frozen by the process. As a result of this, they are marked for removal by the body as if they were any other cell that had taken damage. These cells are removed completely, and they are gone for good. However, new cells can develop in the same area if the body starts storing new fat.
