Educated at the University of South Dakota, Robyn was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree.
She was employed as a Registered Dental Hygienist for 15 years during Dr. Dawes’ medical training, and is his wife of 21 years. She has attended to the financial management of Jeffrey C. Dawes Professional Corporation from its onset in 2010 to present. She has trained in Practice Management through Paul Bass Seminars (Fortune Practice Management) and continuing education courses. In 2012 she launched the Skincare and Medical Aesthetics division of Jeffrey Dawes Plastic Surgery and its development is her primary area of interest. Robyn enjoys snowboarding, golfing and spending time with her family.
Jodi originally received her diploma in Makeup Artistry from Artists Within School of Makeup.
She went on to pursue various projects in make up including bridal, fashion shows, and working with the Calgary Stampeder’s Cheerleaders. Eventually, she became the cosmetic manager of a major cosmetic retailer and extended her skills and training into skin care. She has traveled across Canada and the US to receive training by leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons and continues to be an active member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists. Jodi received her Coolsculpting training in 2014 and is passionate about helping people achieve their personal esthetic goals.
Jill is a certified Medical Laser Technician who has been in practice since her graduation from the National Laser Institute in Scottsdale, AZ in 2009.
Her certifications include the practice of Laser Cellulite Reduction, Fractional Laser, Vein Reduction, Tattoo Removal, Radio Frequency Skin Tightening, Photo Facial Laser Acne Removal, Hair Removal and Intense Pulse Light. She also furthered her training in 2012 , certifying in Dermaplaning and eventually earned an additional certification in Low Level Laser Therapy. Her experience in clinical practice has been on multiple lasers including Cutera, Med-Lite C6 Switch YAG, Sciton Joule, Erchonia LLLT and Syneron Elos multi-modality System. Jill plays women’s hockey in her free time and enjoys an active, healthy lifestyle.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from St. Francis Xavier University and was awarded a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Scholarship for her research.
She went on to earn a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from the University of Calgary and entered clinical practice as a Registered Nurse in 2010. Her focus has been in surgical and cosmetic procedures, assisting Dr. Dawes in the operating room during Mohs Micrographic Surgery for 6 years. Since 2014 Ashley has been providing cosmetic injectable treatments to patients at our office and has had extensive training to perfect her injection skills. Ashley has expanded her education and skills to become a Certified Laser Technician and now dedicates her entire practice to providing cosmetic treatments. Patient safety is of paramount importance in our clinic and Ashley has completed the nationally recognized Laser Safety Officer Training. She has exceptional attention to detail and a very gentle touch.
We are excited to add another Registered Nurse, Lauren Smith, to the practice this year!
Lauren is the Cosmetic Patient Care Nurse and Assistant Mohs Nurse, caring for patients before and after their surgeries. She is compassionate, friendly and respectful towards patients and staff. Her education adds to the care and safety of our patients as they prepare for their surgeries and if they have needs afterwards. Outside of work she likes to ski with her husband Brad, and is very talented musically. Lauren has been a valuable member of our team this year and we are so thankful to have her on board!
A true local to the area, Val was born, raised and educated in Calgary.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Human Science and a diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology. Her work and experience has been in histopathology labs, including electron microscopy and neuropathology. However, her expertise and passion lies in the Mohs Surgery histology lab for skin cancer. Val has a strong dedication to patient care with over 20 years of experience in the Mohs Lab. In 2010, she set up the surgical lab at the Calgary Mohs Surgery Center with Dr. Dawes and currently ensures the daily production of high quality slide preparations and efficacy in the workflow of this specialized high volume facility. She is an active outdoor enthusiast who loves animals and spending time in the mountains year round.
